A second delivery for APACS in 2005.

Who is the client?
Association for Payment Clearing Services (APACS).
What was the brief?
Firedog was awarded the APACS publications account for the two years between 2004 & 2005. The project involved firedog designing and producing a series of five divisional review publications and includes the APACS Annual Review.
What was Firedog's solution?
Our design concept for the 2005 publications included an interesting page numbering device (an abacus that offers the page numbers) to further reinforce what APACS represents. Staff photography was shot in black & white and then printed in sepia to create stronger density ranges and avoid skin tone issues. Back in 2004, Firedog was awarded the contract after a four-way pitch against some of the UK’s top design for print consultancies. Our winning design concept offered an eye-catching design, coupled with a subtle spot metallic finish added to the black and white photography to create a unique finish throughout the publication.
