The game was launched at a series of open days around the UKs top universities. With the offline media, the key goal was to get students to login and play the game with their customised access code and password. The primary game screens were all carefully mapped out and planned taking into consideration the game logic operating below the surface. Following the big idea, the first task is to knuckle down and do some serious planning around architecture and functionality. The game contained an active leaderboard so that players could feel competitive and track their progress. The game kicks off with an introduction and motivational message from the head of the carbon futures desk at Deutsche Bank. When receiving an invite to play the game the graduates are able to sign up before play. The Deutsche Bank team could use this information to maintain contact and communications with their audience. The game environment has been designed to mimic a trading desk, yet has a contemporary and progressive feel.
