Bouygues UK is a construction business operating in the UK yet owned by a French multinational. Our task as a branding agency was to ensure a cohesive and original projected tone and spirit through the corporate identity. We conducted a number of workshops and focus groups with key management staff. We also ran an online survey for all employees. The results of the research informed the creative process. We developed a memorable and unique proposition which positioned the business favourably according to the established core values. We measured the internal perceptions and used them to inform the greater external projection of both messaging and identity. A key deliverable was the design and build of a CMS based website and online brand. A number of concepts were put forward. The resulting website harnesses a confident use of full screen imagery to project the quality behind the Bouygues product. We built a user-friendly management system based on the Wordpress platform Using tagging ontology, we enabled the in-house marketing team to tag and create an immersive project library. For the users in the front end, this enables them to browse key work according to their own preferred journey. Bouygues UK imagery quality is very high and really shows the superior level of product. We wanted the site to reflect this attention to detail and made sure that impact was created by rendering these assets in a bold way. To support the online brand launch and other touchpoints, we created a tone and spirit guide which helps internal staff to tell the Bouygues UK story. Coupled with the spirit guide, we developed a large guideline kit which covers everything from commissioning imagery to on site branding.
