Firedog has recently been commissioned by a very dynamic web 2.0 outfit who are poised to send tremors through the online landscape within but a few months. A large deal of the initial branding work centred around research of the web 2.0 landscape and branding online.

We are literally just putting the finishing touches on our latest spot of branding. It’s for a South African financial client and is the fourth major piece of international business for the dogs this year. We were challenged by the client to create a brand visual look and feel that would feel really unique and tell a definitive ‘brand story’. What we came up with was the idea of representing their key brand propositions through a piece of art. Moreover, we decided that the actual process of creating this piece of art was in itself a brand mnemonic in it’s own right. (more…)

There’s no getting precious about work when a brief comes in after lunch, to be completed before home-time. Especially when the brief entails a corporate ID, business cards and an A3 fold-out brochure. Finished and couriered. These jobs don’t come in very often, but when they do, there’s no doubt you’re probably involved in the back-end of a reality TV show. (more…)
