Our Chip Shop Award!

Despite a thoroughly busy start to the year at Firedog, we’ve managed to fit in a creative side-project in amongst our client work - our Chip Shop Awards entry.

For those of you that haven’t chanced across the Chip Shops, they’re a set of advertising awards with a logo very reminiscent of the D&AD awards. But that’s where the similarity ends. (more…)

United Kingdom creative industries. Be aware!

I noticed this initiative undertaken by the Belgian creative industry as a whole and I find it fascinating. Well I must have, in order to break out from my blogging malaise - Have a look below and the previous article dates from christmas 2008, probably down to too much pitching! Anyway, Belgian agencies have decided en mass to stage a one week virtual strike against multiple agency pitches… 21 agencies have taken their websites down for a week and replaced them with a protest message that you read by clicking through each of their sites.

It’s great to hear when our old Firedog staff go on to do fantastic things.

Gareth Knight was Firedog’s Digital Manager a couple of years back and left us to go it alone with a start-up technology consultancy in 2005 he started called Technovated. In fact, Gareth even helped us set up the Fireblog as well as other digital related systems and infrastructure when we were based in Soho. (Seems like a long time ago!). (more…)

A chap called Venka pinged us in the dogbox regarding a new product line from his company, Dutch by Design. The textile line is called the Home Duvet and features a high-res cardboard print reproduction on a comfy duvet set. (more…)
